Porch sitting
My Grandfather (Dano) and Grandmother (Bubba)
Every evening without fail
Dim yellow light
Occasional visits from Butchy Boy the cat
Wanting an ear scratch or two
Frequent comments from Bubba; an occasional word from Dano
Today we sit
Same porch
BG and I
Enjoying the rhythm of the waterfall
Waterfall of Dano’s planning
Silent fish movement
Faint sweeping breeze
Thoughts of gratefulness
Their sacrifice
Their love
Their efforts

Terry, your words are beautiful…I love to read them.
How beautiful Mama T!! We enjoy your poems so much!
Thank you for sharing. I needed that after a hectic busy day at work.
Mary Kay,
Wouldn’t it be nice if we all took more time to “sit on the porch”
these days. It seems, if we aren’t working, it’s still hard to wind down and appreciate all we have. Don’t work too hard. I hope to see you this weekend!
Terry
Miss Terry…you never cease to amaze me…that was beautiful
Hope to see you this weekend : )
Julie,
Thanks for viewing my blog!
I am so excited that you are going to come this weekend!
Would it be difficult for you to bring the calendar stamps and your calendar? I would like to finish it, if possible, in addition to some other projects. You will be proud; I purchased one more cutting tool-Martha Stewart, so I can keep up at your classes!!!!! I love my Basic Grey technique (when I have a sharp knife), but this will work better in a “speed” situation!!!!
I can’t wait to see you,
Terry
